WELCOME TO
COSTA RICA!
Located on the land bridge between North and
South America, Costa Rica features an impressive diversity of flora
and fauna within a relatively small area. A progressive system of
National Parks, Reserves and other areas under private protection
offer visitors the opportunity to explore cloud and rain forests,
active volcanoes, marshlands, rivers and miles of unspoiled beaches.
Next a tour program is presented which includes a brief description of
each tour, operation dates, prices per person and the minimum of
participants required for each one. HALF DAY

BRITT TOUR
The coffee tour of Cafe Britt is a multimedia

farming of the trees to the beverages we all know.
The tour begins in an actual coffee plantation.
Afterwards visitors learn the history and processing of coffee.
The audience is invited to the roasting facility to see the
final stages of coffee preparation prior to packaging for home
consumption. Most of us coffee drinkers know very little about the
history of coffee, or how it is grown and processed. The Café Britt
tour remedies the situation, with a close-up look at the plants,
drying roasting and official tasting, an experience that will make
your next cup of coffee taste all that much richer. Price per person: USD $ 25.00

transportation, guide and entrance fees. Operation dates: Daily.

with clouds to hide the scene before you. Nearby a well-developed
trail leads uphill through dwarf cloud forest, to Botos Lagoon - an
ancient crater now filled with water and surrounded by lush
vegetation. After taking
lunch in a local restaurant, you will continue to the picturesque
village of Sarchí, cradle of wood crafting and decorating in Costa

beautifully maintained low-impact trails that wind through the largest
butterfly observatory in the world and past a fascinating garden
teeming with curious hummingbirds. From there, the trail continues,
dipping and curving along the banks of a pristine river and past the
falls. A minivan returns guest to the main building a short drive

VOLCANO
Sitting just north of the Tilarán Mountains,
Arenal is a spectacularly beautiful, cone-shaped volcano rising out of
the flat San Carlos Plains. It
is the most active volcano in the country and the frequent, loud booms
can be heard as far away as Monteverde.
Even in the daytime, it is a very special experience to see
clouds of ash and smoke billowing into the sky, from Arenal's crater.
On clear nights, spectators are occasionally treated to a real
natural fireworks display, when an eruption of lava and burning rocks
explodes into the air and showers down the cinder cone.
Even when it's overcast, the rumblings, venting and molten lava
glowing eerily through the clouds, make for stirring spectacle. We offer a trip that visit one of the hotels of
the area located in front of the volcano. Price per person: USD $ 75.00
Includes: transportation, lunch, use of
Montaña de Fuego’s premises (swimming pool with mineral hot water,

be welcomed aboard with refreshments. A seemingly endless supply of
tropical fruit is served, as you sail through the scenic gulf islands
to where blue green waters lap the white sand beach of Tortuga.

volleyball. Sit down to a gourmet picnic buffet served under the
swaying palm trees, before the mid-afternoon return to port. Price per person: USD $

streams, and remains one of Costa Rica´s purest river experiences. In
